Family Update

I feel like I haven't really been keeping up with things coupon related. There is a reason, other than I am just being lazy. Alot has been going on in this house lately. It starts with me stepping up and taking care of myself medically. I have had 2 Root Canals recently (also need to have 2 more at the end of this month). I also have started on some new medication, which is kicking my butt. But I am a big girl and I can handle it.

What is really kicking my butt and keeping me from posting is my little girl. She was sick for a few days over February Break with a head cold and fever. Then she missed the last 3 days of school due to Strep. She is my Asthmatic child so any form of sickness is not a good thing for her. I have been up for almost 48 hours with very little sleep. When she is sick, she spends the night in bed with me, so all the high fevers and coughing made it very hard for either of us to get any sleep. She is on antibiotics and the fevers have come down, but now we are dealing with a never ending cough that is alot stronger than any cough med or home remedy I can come up with. Along with all of this, she was blessed with getting one of the yucky side effects of the antibiotics. Lets just say the bathroom has been our friend today. Ugh. But I will say through all of this she has been a trooper. We have been to the doctors for a visit once everyday for the past 3 days.

Besides being sick, other things have been happening around here. Remember my previous post in regards to my daugthers SPD and how we were going to be starting Therapeutic Listening with her. This is our third day doing it at home and so far so good. She is taking small baby steps to being more focused and more aware of her own body. I will be doing a weekly post about how she is doing with it.
