Welcome!!

I did it. I finally found the nerve and energy to start this blog. If you are reading this then you already know that I am always posting on Facebook all about my amazing shopping trips. Not just about what I purchase but mainly how much money I DID NOT spend. I pride myself on having an amazingly LOW monthly budget. We are a family of 4. That includes 2 children, one that just got out of pull ups/diapers. *Thankfully, although the way I shop I am not saving all that much LOL* Our normaly monthly budget is about 180.00. That includes not only food but all household items, such as toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, detergant and when Mr. J was in diapers those were also included in that budget. For a year now I have managed to feed and supply my family on a monthly budget of 180.00. Some months I go over, some months I am under. Now I am sure your starting to wonder HOW? How can you have a budget that LOW?

Heres a little insight as to how I got started and how you can get started. A little over a year ago I joined a forum called A Full Cup

I learned so much about coupons and savings in this forum. I highly suggest joining this forum to get started. I will admit I was a bit obsessed when I first started. The first thing I learned was that you can print coupons right off the internet. For example you can find coupons HERE

I also learned that if you want to truly SAVE, SAVE, SAVE. You need to understand what Stockpiling is and you need to be willing to spend more at first to SAVE. What I mean by this is that you need to buy multiples of items you use all the time when they are at their lowest price and when you have a coupon to make it even cheaper. So for example shampoo is on sale for 2.00 a bottle, plus you have a coupon for 1.50/1 bottle making that bottle of shampoo .50 a bottle (this is just an example). This is when you should buy multiple bottles so that when the time comes that you run out of the first bottle you dont need to pay full price for another bottle, cause you previously purchased it for alot cheaper. This is something that I do in our house. I have not had to purchase laundry detergant, shampoo, body wash, toothpaste and many more items in over a year and I still have much more to last me another year. Stockpiling is not crazy, as much as some people may think it is. It is a very smart way of shopping and in the long run it saves you TONS of money.

If you have read this far into my Welcome Post, then I am sure you are very interested in learning how to become a Cent's-ational Shopper.
