Where do I get my Coupons?

I am sure some of you wonder where I get so many coupons or how I get certain coupons that you may not have. There are so many different avenues to get your coupons. Below are all the different ways I get my coupons.

SUNDAY PAPER

Almost every Sunday throughout the year I purchase a newspaper. I also get the paper so I can have my weekly flyers as well. Inside the paper you will find Coupon Inserts. The are 4 different coupon inserts that could be in the Sunday paper at any given time.

  • Smartsource
  • Red Plum
  • P&G
  • General Mills
I also get copies of my Sunday Paper Coupon Inserts from my Mother and my Mother In Law. It is a good idea to have multiple copies of coupons that way you can stock up on items when they are at their lowest.

You can also find out what will be in the Sunday Coupon Inserts by checking out the Previews HERE
Sometimes you are able to preview weeks in advance of what is gonna be coming out in the Inserts.
**remember that coupons are regional..meaning not everyone in the country will recieve the same coupons or the same coupon value. ex: some regions will recieve 1.00/2 while others will recieve .75/1 of the same item.**

INTERNET COUPONS

Another great way to get coupons, is by printing them right off your computer. I check various websites daily to see if any new coupons have been released. These are just some of the websites where you can print coupons.

Please be aware that before you can print coupons you must install a Coupon Printer Prgram onto your computer. You will be instructed on how to do this after choosing what coupons you want to print. Once you install this you wont have to do it again.

**Target has its own Coupon Printer that also will need to be installed before you will be able to print from their website. You will be instructed to do this after picking your coupons you want to print**

There are many more sites you can find coupons to print. If you go to the manufacturer's website, may times they will have coupons for you to print. You most likely will have to sign up for a newsletter or to be a member of their website, all of this is FREE. Highly suggest opening up a seperate email account just for your coupon purposes.

Facebook is another great place to find coupons. If you become a fan of a comapny's Fan Page, they usually offer some great coupons.

EMAILING COMPANIES

Do you have favorite products you LOVE to use and will ONLY use? Do you not see many coupons for that product? This is a great way to get coupons. Go to the company's website and find a contact email address. You can email them and let them know how much you love their product and how your family uses it and can't live without it. LOL. Offer up your contact info, as well as mailing address and alot of times these companies will mail you coupons. I have gotten some Cent's-ational coupons in the past.

  • 4.00 Off Huggies Diapers (with multiple 1.00 Off any Huggies Product)
  • .55/1 Heinz Ketchup. This is a GREAT Coupon. You rarely see a Heinz Ketchup coupon PLUS most of my grocery stores will DOUBLE this so that makes this 1.10/1 Ketchup.
  • FREE Ziploc Bags
I have personally slacked in emailing companies but I will be doing this again. I miss getting some great coupons.

**This does not gaurantee you coupons, but it is a nice way to show the companies you love just how much you love their products and hopefully in return you may recieve something nice.**

BLINKIES, TEARPADS, PEELIES

Some of you, I'm sure, are shaking your heads at this one. HAHA. These are slang terms that the coupon world uses for certain types of coupons. All of these coupons can be find inside stores and on products. Have you ever walked down the aisle at the grocery store and saw a machine that was hanging on the shelf that had a coupon sticking out of it? When you pulled that coupon out, the machine blinked and another coupon came out? Well thats a BLINKIE. These are found inside stores. TEARPADS are just that. A pad of coupons on the shelves or nearby products that you have to "tear" the coupon off the pad. PEELIES are coupons you find on products. Sometimes they are for the actual product, other times they are for other products. Such as "Buy this product and get 1.00 OFF Meat". Always keep your eyes out for these as your shopping. Even if your not gonna use them in that shopping trip, keep them until that item goes on sale.

I love these type of coupons. Market Basket near me has a Coupon Center. They have all sorts of Tearpads available. I always get some great coupons.

TRADING COUPONS

Remember in my Welcome post I mentioned a forum called A Full Cup. Well this is where I trade coupons with other coupon savvy people. It is a great way to get the coupons that your region didn't get or to snag some PEELIES or BLINKIES you couldn't find around you.

Join HERE
They also have a great Coupon Database where you can find out what coupons are available and how to get them.

COUPON CLIPPING SERVICE

I bet you never thought there was such a thing. But there is. There are various companies out there that provide a service. They clip the Sunday Paper Inserts and sell them for a small service fee. Another great way to get multiple copies of coupons or for getting that coupon value that didn't come in your region. You can also buy complete Coupon Inserts as well.

My favorite is Coupons by Dede HERE

EBAY

You can buy ANYTHING on Ebay and that includes Coupons. It is just like your Coupon Clipping Service. People will clip the coupons and you can purchase them on Ebay. Sometimes this is the only way to get those HIGH Value, Hard to Find Coupons.

Check them out HERE

Now that you have been informed on how to get your Coupons. Let me know what your favorite way of getting your coupons is??
