How to shop Rite Aid

Rite Aid is one of my FAVORITE stores for Cent'sational Deals. You can literally
get all your Health & Beauty items for pennies. Why is Rite Aid is so great? You
ask. Rite Aid not only takes Manufacturer Coupons, they also have their own store coupons.
As well as a program called UP rewards. This program is similar to CVS and the Extra
Care Bucks Rewards Program. Rite Aid's program is called Wellness Program. You get special
Sale Prices when you use your Wellness Card and you can also earn UP rewards for
purchasing participating products featured in the weekly flyers. It gets BETTER.
Rite Aid also has a program called Single Check Rebates. Each month they offer rebates
on certain products or from certain companies. I will explain how Rite Aid works below.

First you should sign up for the Wellness Program HERE. You will be able to print off
a temporary card and will receive your card in the mail. You can also sign up
at your local Rite Aid. This card will get you great sale prices as well as your UP
rewards. You will also earn points for all your purchases and those points add up to allow you to receive special discounts depending on your level.

UP Rewards are just like Extra Care Bucks. They are coupons that print at the bottom of
your store receipt. Check your local flyer to see what items are giving UP rewards for that week.
These UP Rewards can be used as a store coupon. You can use them on future purchases. They are
not item specific, so its another great way to lower your costs.
Check out the details on they work HERE

Rite Aid offers a great way to get store coupons. You can sign up for their Video Value
Coupons HERE. Every month Rite Aid puts out Videos on their website that you can watch
and after watching the Video you will earn a coupon for that specific product.
**You can only use these coupon one time. They have a barcode that only allows them to be used once, no matter how many you print**

Finally....
Rite Aid has a Single Check Rebate program. You might have seen the monthly flyer
that is available in the store. Rite Aid makes their Rebate Program so much easier.
All you have to do is go HERE to sign up. After you shop at Rite Aid, you can go
home, login to your account and submit the receipt information. It will keep track
of all the items you purchased that qualify for a rebate. Then at the end of the
month you request your rebate check. I actually just received a check for 4.99.
You can take this check and deposit it into your bank account or you can just use
it on a future purchase at Rite Aid.

I know it may all sound confusing and time consuming, but its a very easy way to save
a ton on all the items you need everyday. Rite Aid is the only place I have been able
to get diapers for 1.50 a pack. I am always able to get many things for FREE (after
coupons, UP Rewards and Rebates). Things like toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper,
hair coloring, mouthwash, bodywash, razors, etc.

**Rite Aid Coupon Policy**

I will be doing a weekly Rite Aid post and hopefully be able to teach you
how to be a Cent's-ational Rite Aid Shopper.

Black Friday 2010 Adventures

WOW is about all I can say right now. I am STILL exhausted. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. Lots of food, good laughs and great memories made. Managed to make it home from my Mom's to go get my SIL (sister in law) and head back home. My Mom, SIL and I all planned to head out for Black Friday shopping at about 2:00am. We were on the hunt for one of the *HOT* items on sale at Target. **I will not post what it is as its a Christmas Present for my Step Dad** We also had plans to hit Toys R Us, Walmart and Kohl's. We all were gonna try to get some sleep and rest before heading out. Well that idea changed very quickly. Due to possible icy roads and making sure we got to Target in time to get in line, we decided to leave at Midnight. YES that meant NO SLEEP. My SIL and I loaded up on some coffee, picked up Mom and headed out. We planned on hitting Toys R Us first, they opened at midnight here in MASS. Then were gonna run over to Walmart to get a few things that were starting on sale at midnight, keep warm and be able to use a restroom if needed before going to Target to get in line. HAHAHA YA RIGHT...nothing worked out as planned.

Toys R Us had a line longer than I care to even discuss and was only allowing 50 people in at a time. By the time we drove by Toys R Us it was pouring and COLD. So we headed over to Walmart. Well apparently the advertised nationwide MIDNIGHT opening was NOT nationwide. The store in the town we were in FORGOT to apply for the permit to open up that early. So it wasn't gonna open until 4am which is the same time Target was supposed to open. At this point you can imagine how frustration. Seriously we could have slept LOL.

We drove around to find a 24 Hour Dunkin Donuts to use the bathroom and then waited in the car for a bit in the Target parking lot. We got out of the car at about 1:40am to wait in line. At this point we were probably about 50 people deep.

This is the MAD DASH that I am sure some of you may have encountered on your Black Friday adventures. Well my SIL and I were part of one this morning. Thankfully we decided to RUN, cause were managed to get one of just 40 of the *HOT* Items Target was selling. The MAIN reason we headed out in the rain and cold while the rest of the world was sleeping in their nice, warm beds.

SHHH!!! Keep it a secret. :)

After snatching this up for my MOM.
I managed to snag the two things I was in the store to get.

Play Doh for the Kids Stockings and this super cute Leapfrog Birthday Cake for one of niece's.

We were in and out in about 15 minutes.

Toys R Us

I was only on the search for one thing. Mr J is a very dramatic and entertaining 3 year old. Not your typical cars and trucks type of kid. This Christmas he is getting a dress-up box (if you know him, you would know this fits his personality so well). I have been grabbing up various clearance Halloween Costumes/Dress Up items and plan on putting together a nice box for him. I will also be making some of his dress up items. So to go along with his "Doctor" outfit, I wanted to get the Fisher Price Medical Kit that was on sale at Toys R Us for 6.49.

Luckily we got there when we did. They only had 1 BOY Set left.

I was VERY disappointed with Kohl's this year. Most if not all of there advertised items were priced including a MIR (Mail in Rebate). Normally I don't mind doing MIR's but for Black Friday it just was a turn off. My SIL did have a 15% OFF Coupon so we made the trip into the store to check things out. The only thing in the ad that appealed to me was Pillows marked down from 9.99 to 3.99. So I picked up 2 Pillows. You can never have too many pillows LOL.

Kohl's Black Friday Total: 7.98

Walmart

This is where I got MY Christmas Presents. YES I shopped for myself LOL. I picked up a 5qt Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker for 9.97

I was very excited to also get the HP Wireless Printer that was advertised for 44.00
This is my Christmas present from Hubby. Some of you fanatically frugal women will understand why I got this myself. 1) Hubby would never have gotten up that early to get it for me at this Cent's-ational price and 2) If he found it somewhere else, he wouldn't have cared what he paid for it.

*I did make another Trip out to a different Target. This was to get a Christmas present I couldn't get when I was at Target earlier. I will just leave it at that. Hee Hee.*

Second Target Black Friday Total: 19.99

Sum it up:
4 Christmas Presents
1 Gift From Me to Me
2 Pillows
TOTAL: 101.91
